A Man's World

I can't believe we are 18 Rozas down already! Ramzaan is flying away so fast! okay so what did I have to rant about today? oh yeah, some Douchey men. Why do some men marry a girl who wears a hijab and is properly burqa-clad and then after marriage force her to take off her burqa and wear sleeveless shirts? I mean what is the logic behind it? They generally defend the psyche by saying, "mai tumhara shohar hoon, jaisa mai kahun waisa karo, mere liye tyaar ho." Okay fine. but why do you even pick a girl to marry who was wearing a burqa out of her own choice? Nobody forced it on her, it was her choice, it made her happy. So after marrying your pathetic thickheadedness, she doesn't even have a right to do what she wants to do? or even wear what she feels comfortable in? This just beats me. Men in Pakistan have a weird sort of narrow-mindedness that women have to bear all their lives. It is okay for a guy to keep in contact with his unmarried female friends but it is blasphemous if their wife does the same with her male friends. He is even allowed to honour-kill her if he has to. Why such double standards? WHY WHY WHY!? Probably they are right when they say it's a man's world out there.
